Blue Hills Ski / Snowboard Lessons
Waivers and Rental Forms must be completed and returned to Recreation Office by December 11. You will not be allowed to participate if this is not completed.
Transportation is provided by Weymouth Recreation. It is mandatory that the participants take the vans in order to be as efficient as possible with the group. The van(s) will depart Chapman School (underneath band room parking lot) promptly at 3:45pm and ideally return 6:45-7:00 depending on traffic.
New This Year: We will be adding a week before Christmas where we will bring the participants to the ski area for fitting. This will only take about an hour or so. We will most likely be back around 5:30-6pm. This is only needed for those who are renting, but will make the first and second weeks much easier and less chaotic when trying to quickly get participants onto the slopes.
We are welcoming back Ski Lessons at Blue Hills. This 5-lesson program has been a long time favorite for kids. Classes are held once a week for five weeks on Wednesday afternoons.
All ability levels are welcome in the Junior Program from first timers, beginners and advanced. Students are grouped based on, among other things, ability and age.
Blue Hills Waiver
- The Blue Hills Waiver must be completed and turned into the Recreation Dept.
- Participants will not ski/snowboard without it.
If you are to use your own equipment for the Blue Hills Program, they have asked us to enforce that you have a local store inspect and certify the equipment for use in the upcoming season. Blue Hills has seen multiple situations where personal equipment has failed and have caused the participant to lose valuable time.
If you are bringing your own equipment for use, do you agree to comply with their request?
*If you are renting, you may hit agree as this does not apply to your equipment as it is already certified.
You must bring your own helmet or rent one. They are mandatory.
